Company Origin

Bill Griffith incorporated William L. Griffith & Company, Inc., in Maryland, in the fall of 1974. In 1990, David Peacock expanded the company by adding a subsidiary located in Fairfax, Virginia. This subsidiary, Wm. L. Griffith & Co. of Virginia, Inc., initially serviced the Northern Virginia region. In the mid-1990’s, Kevin Kennedy and David Peacock, seeing that the market had expanded beyond the Metropolitan Washington and Virginia borders, changed the name to Wm. L. GRIFFITH & Co. to better signify our growing commitment to the Mid-Atlantic Region. Wm. L. GRIFFITH & Co. holds general contractor licenses in Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia, Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
